We believe it is important to give back to the communities we serve. That is why we are dedicated to helping organizations like Philabundance and the American Red Cross to provide assistance to those who need it most.
Sunoco Disaster Response
Sunoco is committed to the community, and we will do everything we can to aid in the rescue & recovery process. Sunoco will work closely with emergency management authorities to make sure those areas that need it most will get the help they need. We thank all of the first responders, rescue & recovery teams, and all of the volunteers who step up to help their communities.
Sunoco and Philabundance
Since 1993, Sunoco has been proud to support Philabundance, the region's largest hunger relief organization. In 2005, Sunoco agreed to supply fuel for Philabundance's fleet of 12 trucks, which travel nearly 200,000 miles a year to supply food assistance to people in need, distributing millions of pounds of food to 65,000 people each week. Find more information about Philabundance.
Sunoco and the American Red Cross
For more than 50 years, Sunoco has had a partnership with the American Red Cross of Southeastern Pennsylvania. We have supported community and special events, local and national disaster relief, and volunteer engagement. The Sunoco Fuel-Up program with the Red Cross began in 2006 and includes supplying fuel for more than 125 emergency response vehicles and blood collection vehicles throughout the Delaware Valley.
Victory Junction Gang Camp
Sunoco, the official fuel of NASCAR, teamed up with Orange County Choppers (OCC) to create and donate a custom designed motorcycle to benefit the kids of Victory Junction Gang Camp. The program brought in over $200,000 in donations and helped increase awareness for the camp.
The motorcycle reflects Sunoco's checkered royal blue and yellow colors, as well as other key references to its motor sports history. NASCAR fans had the opportunity to enter to win the custom built OCC bike by picking up entry materials at any of Sunoco's participating retail locations or by making a $10 donation at www.victoryjunction.org.
